Tallahassee Community College Improves Storage Capacity to Twenty Terabytes While Maintaining
IT Budget Expense

New Information Infrastructure of IBM Servers, Storage and Software from Mainline Allows for the College to Manage, Store, and Anticipate For Future Application Support

Tallahassee Community College has gone live with a new information infrastructure based on IBM storage, servers and software provided by Mainline, to mange the student information, finances, HR, web site hosting and portal project for its more than 14,000 students and nearly 1,000 faculty and staff.

As part of an entire infrastructure overhaul to drive the college's continued success, Tallahassee Community College worked with IBM and Mainline to design an infrastructure solution that would give them the ability to grow and scale-out as their technology needs demand.�The previous storage infrastructure for the College was maxing out at approximately one terabyte of storage, and now has been upgraded to manage and store more than twenty terabytes of information.�No increase in the College?s technology budget was needed to achieve this new milestone.
